Town Hill - High above Montgomery
Friday 4th October - Start: 17:30 (5.30pm)
( No Booking Required for this walk - Just turn up and walk )
A short evening walk taking in the Town Hill with its superb 360 degree views above Montgomery and exploring a path just recently opened up giving views of Corndon Hill on the way back to Montgomery.
Back in time for the now famous Monty's Brewery Oktoberfest at The Cottage, food, Award winning beers and music.
England to Wales - Cross Offa's Path
Saturday 5th October - Start: 10:00 ( 10am )
A good old fashioned 14 mile country ramble from Shropshire (service bus to start) across lowlands, highlands, steep valleys and moorland back to Montgomery. Not 'difficult' but the walk is full of varied ground conditions and needs a spirit of adventure.
Kerry Ridgeway - Challenge Walk
Saturday 5th October - Start: 07:45 ( 7.45am )
A 19 mile 'challenge' walk, Churchstoke to Montgomery (service bus out) taking you up onto the Kerry Ridgeway and beyond. Superb views and walking.
Camlad and Severn River bank walk
Saturday 5th October - Start: 11:00 ( 11am )
A mainly level 11 mile walk is planned taking in the banks of the Camlad and Severn returning to Montgomery along Offa's Dyke Path. ( Provisional information only - subject to change )
Castles, Forts and Rivers
Saturday 5th October - Start: 13.00 ( 1pm )
A fascinating 4 mile History of the Castles walk for Saturday afternoon. Easy walking on quiet country lanes and footpaths. Discover something of our Borders history with a knowledgeable guide taking you to castles, Iron Age forts and the all important Rhydwyman Ford.
Kerry Hills and Offa's Path
Sunday 6th October - Start: 10:00 ( 10am )
Back from Festival 2017 by popular demand - a 14 mile walk in the Kerry hills and along Offa's Dyke path. We will be walking it the other way round so the views will be completely different !
Vale of Montgomery walk
Sunday 6th October - Start: 14:00 ( 2pm )
An almost completely flat 7 mile walk with wonderful views of the hills all the way. Plenty of stiles just to keep you fit on your wander.
Other events, activities and booking details
There is no booking required for Friday 4th October 'Oktoberfest - Town Hill' walk. However, places are limited on all other walks and MUST be reserved in advance. Book early using our online forms below to reserve your place - there is no charge for the walks. Your details will be used only to confirm your booking and to provide you with further information regarding your chosen walks.
NOTE: Unfortunately, due to the livestock based farmland these walks go through, walkers will not be able to take their dogs on the walks. However dogs are welcome in the town shops, cafes and Hotel plus most of the listed accommodation too.
Old Bell Museum - Open Saturday and Sunday.
A fascinating historical collection with a special display commemorating the 750th anniversary of the Treaty of Montgomery. Open Saturday and Sunday. Small entry charge.
Cloverlands Model Car Museum - Open Friday /Saturday / Sunday

Montgomery's 3rd OKTOBER FEST - Friday 4th October 17:00 - 22:00 ( 5pm - 10pm )
A fantastic opportunity to sample award winning locally brewed beers, ciders, speciality gins and a choice of wines with your sauerkraut and bratwurst at Monty's Brewery Visitor centre here in Montgomery. Find out more about Offa's Dyke National Trail and try Monty's Brewery 'Best Offa' special brew. Other local produce available. Booking not required.
Supper and Music - Saturday 5th October from 19:30 ( 7:30pm )
Festival Supper is offered to walkers booked for the Festival at a special Half price of only £5.00
If you would like to take advantage and join us for a delicious home cooked, two course supper and entertainment at our Montgomery Activity Centre please remit a cheque for £5 per person attending and complete the form as detailed below.

AND... if you are in Montgomery on Saturday morning don't miss Offa's Veg - our wonderful, friendly and colourful fruit and vegetable market stall at the Town Hall where you may catch a local coffee morning and meet our lady Town Crier, Susan Blower, too.
