Sitting at the top of Broad Street overlooking the Town Hall, from Ivy House tea rooms you also can see Montgomery Castle.
This is a cosy place to come and enjoy morning coffee, lunch or an evening meal.
You can also buy Wales Cheeses and Wales Pates, farm fresh eggs, Green and Black chocolate and lots more.

Chef proprietor Stéphane Borie trained under Michel Roux Senior and – together with his partner Sarah – has built a reputation for classic French cuisine executed with skill and precision. In 2011 The Checkers was awarded a Michelin star in its opening year. Sarah’s sister Kathryn completes the family trio, ensuring a warm and informal welcome front of house.
Stephane Borie’s kitchen embodies the very best of classic French cooking. This combined with service that is friendly and informal allows you to enjoy Michelin star dining in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Special dietary requirements (with the exception of severe allergies) can almost always be catered for with notice – please let us know when you book. Vegetarian menu and pescatarian menus are no problem at all – again please let us know when you book.

Food is served daily from 12.00pm – 14.30pm and 18.00pm – 21.00pm.
The Crown Inn
Set just a short walk from Montgomery Town centre. The Crown Inn is a community based pub which sponsors the town's football team. There is a large array of trophies in one of the rooms opposite the bar. The Crown is the last traditional pub in the town.
