Cloverlands Official Opening
Official Opening - 12th March 2016
The Cloverlands Model Car museum was officially opened by Lord Davies of Llandinam whose grandfather originally donated the Montgomery Institute building to the town, in which the museum is now housed.
Other guest speakers included Glyn Davies MP and Eric Fairbrother - Montgomery major.
At the heart of the Cloverlands Model Car museum is a 1500+ collection of models lovingly gathered over many decades by Gillian Rogers who lives in Powys, and we were honoured to have Gillian attend the opening ceremony as our very special guest.

As a mark of appreciation for loaning our town her large model car collection Gillian was presented with a gift of a large format sports car book. Here she is photographed taking a short break to glance through the pages with her partner Max Tomlinson. In the foreground is 'Cloette' her 1/3 scale model of a 'Citroen Cloverleaf', that Gillian herself crafted and built by hand.
