About Us

We bought our cottage in Montgomery in 2012.  Since then, we have been renovating and refurbishing the property. Our garden contains part of the  historical town ditch, which is registered as an Ancient Monument.

More recently, we acquired Bank Cottage, an 18th Century listed building on Kerry Road here in Montgomery.  Bank Cottage already had a history of holiday letting, and after some tender loving care we have offered it once more to visitors to Montgomery.

The VisitMontgomery Website

This website, VisitMontgomery, arose out of our passion for the town and the local area. We wanted to share this with visitors, including those who arrive as our guests in Bank Cottage.  As you can see from the photos, we had a lot of fun gathering information for the site!

You can find a host of useful information here about our wonderful town, folk and location. We wish Visit Montgomery to become an indispensable resource for both visitors and residents. Therefore, in addition to the many activities and attractions of interest to visitors, we are also developing an online space for local clubs to share information and conversations.

Our use of a CMS (Content Management System) allows many different people to contribute their posts to the site, and for people to comment on selected posts. This will encourage a more interactive feel to the website.

We strive to supply accurate information on this site. However, we do recommend checking critical details (such as opening times) at source before setting out on a journey.

We sincerely hope you enjoy browsing Visit Montgomery, and find what you are looking for. We are constantly adding new walks, events, things to do and places to relax, eat and drink. So pop back now and then to discover our new posts.

If you have any feedback or would like to contribute to the site, please contact us:

Also, please follow us on Twitter @VisitMontgomery. We look forward to hearing from you.
